Default Picked up a 986

Picked up this roller 2003 Boxster S for $1 and just got it back after an engine rebuild. I actually enjoy driving it versus the 987.2. I put in a new radio, amp and speakers because the OEM sound system was awful.

Next up is replacing the fuel pump and fuel sender. Notice the fuel on top of the sender. Is it leaking from the gasket? Any thoughts? Just curious.

Lastly, the after market rear brake lights are not working. They are a series of LED lights and suspect the issue is in this relay(?). Any advice on where to get this repaired or insight on a DIY fix? Thanks and stay well.

Thanks. After further reading it seems that it’s a common issue for the nipples on the top of the solenoid to crack.

Thanks.
Changing the fuel pump and solenoid was fairly easy ~1hr. The tricky part was lining up the tabs of the new fuel pump with the one at the bottom of the fuel tank. No more bad gas smell! Here is a proper photo of my new daily. I also sorted out the issue with the tail lights which was a bad connection.

If interested in learning about F1 brakes check out this YT video. I didn't realize that brake bias is adjusted on the fly (starts around 3:00) https://youtu.be/N2NyxdBNFe0
