Default SP Club Race

I suppose all the usual peeps are busy tuning their cheater motors and stocking up on Hoosiers.

I am breaking my boycott of PCA CRing and signed up for the vintage group. I have not driven the 914 since last October at the Glen VRG race which was my first time to spend more than a few laps in the car. The goal is not to get lapped more than once by the 3rd sprint.

With having to go through log book tech (I suspect PCA still does not accept anyone else's log book) and requirement to attend rookie classroom, Thursday night will be busy.

Motor still unopened and factory fresh but do have new R7s. I don't have any wets tho so will be doing my anti-rain dance. Gearbox is being opened again as I type this though . Looking forward to the diagnosis from Charlie. Wondering if the problem all along has been the (probably crappy) Weltmeister short shifter which was installed a long, long time ago so ordered a new shifter from FD. Also replacing motor and trans mounts - tired of not being able to effectively use 2nd and 3rd after 10 mins of driving.

Just signed up last night. Been 4 years since my last race and few DEs since -we'll see how it goes. I'll be there at the Thurs rookie classroom w/ you.

Cool beans! I'm in the process of finalizing packing for this weekend's AER race in the RX7. Then on Monday I get to empty the trailer and refill it with stuff for the PCA CR. Will be driving the KMSpecial, in its new Gulf livery. I even have some H20's mounted, but no wipers on the car, just RainX. We shall see. Very much looking forward to seeing everyone! Looks like its going to be a well attended event.

I'll still have an X on my car....

I should bump up to H and give Ryan some company, maybe I'll even podium that way.

Time for a new checkbook build. I think a 2017 991S pdk would crush in J...but sadly not many cars in J either.
