Default Fs - 1990 928s4

SOLD!!!

I'm selling my wife's 1990 928S4/auto trans for $17,000 . It is a Euro model and has 79,9xx miles on it. It has all of the options including full leather interior (everything, including the headliner). All the leather is in terrific shape with only normal patena for its age. Exterior is white; interior is lipstick red leather. Body is in excellent shape with only one extremely minor dent on the driver's side fender (so minor that it doesn't show up on the attached photos). Paint too, is in excellent shape with normal stone chips on nose. Timing belt replaced at ~55K. At 60k miles - Intake and valve covers were removed and powder coated. At that time all vacuum lines, knock sensors, gaskets, fuel injectors were cleaned and tested, rebuilt power steering rack and replaced p/s lines, added rear muffler bypass (RMB), spark plug wires and hoses were replaced. Additionally, the vacuum control units in the climate control system were replaced. At 79k the transmission was serviced, GTS oil pan baffle was added, oil pan resealed, new motor mounts, new cats, new spark plugs, 4 new CV joints, and flex plate adjusted. New set of Sport Classic II 18" wheels with Pirelli Asymetrico tires with approximately 3k miles on them. The car recently had a 4 wheel alignment/ride height set. All are perfect except the back right. That one has a 2-3" curb rash mark.

To say the least, this car is well sorted with no issues. My wife has owned the car for a little over 5 years and has put about 20k miles on it. The engine pulls strong, no leaks of any kind, and puts out a VERY loud, deep V8 roar! It's definitely a cruising car that is most enjoyable at speed. The car was original built for a diplomat in Saudi Arabia, and was sold on his return to the US. The second owner ran into financial difficulties soon after having purchased it, and he sold it to us. There are no signs of any previous accidents, flood or body damage, nor did the previous owner no of anything.

My wife is selling the 928 in order to buy a Cayman.

Thanks,
David

The plates belonged to my son. He died in an auto accident last year, so obviously we're keeping them for sentimental reasons.

Nice car Great color combination. I had a 911 Grand Prix white, with lipstick red interior.

Man I wish I did not puto so much $ in my 951. I would love this car. My 951 is a white with lipstick red interior car. I would love to have a 928 the same style.

When I complete the 951 restoration I'll come looking for a simliar 928.

It's not a color combination for everyone, but for those of us who like red it's great. I'd love to have some of this red in my all black 930. I failed to mention in my original post, that unlike many other Porsche's, the leather stiched dash is neither warped nor has any cracks. I also replaced all 4 rotors around 60k miles.

The car is beautiful. I've been trying to convince my wife that this would be a good car for her but she seems to think she needs something that can fit at least five kids.

The tag is perfect for the car, but you should keep it, especially given the history, and it will work well on a Cayman. It seems nearly all the sexy tags are already taken in VA although for anyone who's interested, MUY SEXY is still available.

Wow. Beautiful car. And it looks like it is maintained to a very high standard.

My black 911 has "Can-Can Red" interior... looks to be the same red as your 928. I love it, but it isn't a color combo for everyone.
