How times (and me) have changed! Back in the day that would have been sacrilegious! Now it looks "comfee"

My first moto was a SilverWing. Too poor for a GOLDWING.
That bike is indestructible.

My new consideration, a Kawasaki Concours 1000. The seller and I came to a reasonable price. https://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/...800103866.html

I find myself not using the KLR as much as I once did. Long road trips are a literal pain in the ass. 70MPH sustained on the highway is sketchy, and a 650 thumper numbs the hands quickly. It's a nice all around bike for in town and exploring the mountains, but I think I've had enough. It may be up for sale soon.

That is a lot of well thought out bike for the $. As Too Tall said indestructible. 2 wheel Buick but you can clock some real miles on them. Do it!

For the money Id personally get a newer Concours. There are a few newer ones with some mileage. No carbs to deal with. Has ABS and a few other creature comforts. Looks better too. But $900 that goes along way for a decent bike if your not going to be racking up the miles.

EFI *ROCKS*!

The Ducati and KTM EFI are just the bomb. Starts on first crank after LONG sit period, don't leak gas & flood when laid on their side (KTM is dirt bike afterall), and don't gum up since is a closed system (no air vent to dry out and gum up the gas.) My bikes /w carbs are much more finicky.
