Default Best place or way to buy a ring?

The gf and I are non traditional and we want to go with an emerald emerald cut stone with 2 little guys on the side in platinum. The offerings I've found are slim to crappy. Might have to do something custom.

Would I be best served looking for a custom shop to hold my hand the whole way, or just shop for the gem online and find a jeweler to put into a setting I like?

I like these.

This is my favorite so far.

Mystique Jewlers in Alexandria is great. They can do custom designs of whatever you like. I have never felt pressured with them at all, either.

Nice ring. It will look good on you

Glad you could make it to the autocross school. Hope you can make it out to more events this year.

+1 on Mike. Great guy. Emeralds don't tend to suffer daily wear as well as diamonds. The setting design and care methods should be adjusted for the stone type.

X2 for Shaw & Shaw. They helped design and build a 3 diamond gold and platinum ring for Mary. Mike gives discounts to PCAers.
