Pool maint is a pita, but it sure was nice to dive into 86deg water after working on the motorcycle for a few hours yesterday.

Pool heaters are a wonderful thing. ..

Dirk - spot on. My pool went from really nice and refreshing to ooh, I just shrink 2 sizes in the past few days. I think this week will be it.
Probably close next week before all the damn leaves start coming down!

True that. I was skimming out a bunch of leaves yesterday. Now that it rained...

I got out of the shop yesterday tired and sweaty. Strange how the lift makes things easier but you still have to do the work. Jumped in the pool, heater isnt on, and I was awake and refreshed. I love it.

That may change if a couple Dorkis offer to help push all of the broken ones into the garage.

So about the same as old BMW ownership then?

Hey that is just shrinkage!

I see backyard pools as having the same use ratios as hot tubs and pool / ping pong tables. "Best Thing Evar!" right after they are in hand but for most people the use to work inverts over time. This produces a sliding scale of use to work that is weighed by season and total time. At least pool and ping pong tables just sit there catching stuff rather than leaves and dead frogs.

By far the best pool is the one at a good friends house.
