Currently looking at these:
1967 Austin-Healey 3000MKIII
1968 SHELBY GT500 (Yea I know, it's 'merican)
1960s Mercedes-Benz 190 SL
1967 Fiat Dino Spyder

Austin-Healey 3000MKIII and 190SL I wouldn't really call 4 seat convertibles.. I've owned both and having someone in the back is almost the same as someone in the back of an early 911.. forget about two. Unless of course the 4 occupants are all midgets... "little people."

Fiat Dino Spyder will be both difficult find and expensive.. because its a Spyder and fairly rare. If you want Italian I'd do the Mondial Cabriolet as someone mentioned.. I've owned 2 and was very happy with each in that I could comfortably fit the little folks. Not as slow or expensive to maintain as most think.

Not a lot to choose from in that market, depends on how much you're willing to spend. I really like the mid-60's - early - 70's Mercedes 280 SE sedan convertibles.. but you won't find a nice one for under $120k

Good luck!

There

If only the Jag was a convertible! One of the best looking cars out there

Actually only need to fit a six year old in the back seat, so yea kinda a midget.
How'd you like the Austin?

Really no budget, just depends on the car. want something that will maintain it's value, but nothing concourse so I can drive it and not worry

Consider adjusting your stance? Pro street 66/67' Chevy Nova 2 dr. convertible.
Easy to own easy to part with. Ask me how I know.
FWIIW (I hate that) They are fairly light, with aftermarket suspension and some good tires they handle not-so-bad.

There was an Allard that showed up at cars and coffee a few times last year. Maybe you can convince him to sell.

Why not just commission your own? A nice Emory-like outlaw 356 cab?

Otherwise your stuck with 40+ year old british cars (yikes - from a internet based reliability concern) or 40+ year old american cars (which drive like shite), unless its a "restorod" to begin with.

Get ahead of the collector curve with this classic- perfect for the wife, AuPair or you!
