I lament the lack of color choices now offered, especially the greens. Would like to see some Irish Greens rolling around. I also have a fondness for Bali Blue since it was my first.

Some more of the final corrections to prepare for paint. Also, a shot of the nicely redone rear bumper. As a note of interest, the 914 came with the hard edged bumper in 1970 and first part of 1971. Mid-run for the 1971, they switched to the soft edged rear bumper. As my car is a late 1971 build, it came with the soft edged rear bumper seen here.
First you will see that we had one slight indent from the car being improperly jacked up at one point. Kent puts a nice pull on it and straightens it out. Then he is able to weld on one last strap to the floorpan. You will see where the front sway bar mount was installed previously and it looks like they repositioned it or something. Kent corrected it and repaired the holes. He also cleaned up a weld on a brake line bracket. Finally, ValcoOscar from 914World.com who recently did a terrific group deal on having bumpers re-chromed, received my rear bumper and made it like new. Thank you Oscar.

Lovely. Will it be done in time for an Irish Spring shower?
