Nice. With that linear progression you should be at a 0 second lap time in a few years

Driving is Logarithmic progression in cost per unit of gain and regressive in lap time gain. Each each unit of gain costs 10x the last one and gives one tenth the previous gain

You approach the wall asymptotically but unlike Zeno you will reach it

My personal opinion. Unless you are data logging and making scientific analysis, lap times only matter for the session you just did. Don't compare session to session. So many variables you can't control can make you think you are doing better or worse if you compare session to session and event to event.
I realize you try to establish a baseline from the car, but the track is different, weather/temps differ, etc. On the flip side, no substitute for seat time. Also, I don't time laps because the high numbers make me sad.

PFC08 pads and GT3 MC since Green run group. Only change to the 987.2 (including pads and MC) were seats/harness/Guard LSD. NT01 tires added 37 months post HDPE. I think they are about 1-2 seconds faster vs PS2s.

This was your rate of progression. Don't laugh but I did use the line equation to estimate how long it would take for a 1:20 lap time at Summit Main

I think its dependent on where one is on the learning curve and what you state is probably more relevant to highly advanced drivers.
