quarter window replacement
Anybody ever replaced the fixed quarter window seals? Any tips? I already learned that you have to buy the seals from the dealer since the aftermarket seals are so crappy. I had to send back the last pair because the workmanship was so bad.

Rick:
Haven't done one of those, but when I have replaced glass like that, I used a nylon or poly rope (like water skiing stuff) and stuffed it around the inside of the gasket leaving 2 tails. Have one person apply pressure from the outside while the person on the inside pulls the tails slowly out of the gasket until the rope is all the way out in the middle. I never used any sealer, but Porsche may have other ideas. Call me if my criptic discription need further clarification.

No sealer on the quarter glass. The factory rubber is schnisentite.
