I checked out your car at HPDC earlier this month, it is very nice. Glad that you are enjoying her, they really are special

Dropped her off at Bethesda Detailers: https://www.bethesdadetailers.com/ for a quick hand wash this week and she came back looking great
Full disclosure, the shop is part of Chevy Chase Acura and we know the owner.

Hmmm good idea, wonder if they have a 356 size. Since I need a paintjob someday anyway, an xmas tree on top would be fun.
Reminds me a lot of the crazy $ Rennline roof rack.

I do not think that he has a jig for 356’s The Rennline rack is a knock off of this design which originally came from California and the VW community. It was started by a guy named Pedro. Just Google Petra’s roof racks and you will get an eye full.

I have the typical tear on the drivers seat bolster in the usual place. The PO did a good job sewing it up but I found a unique solution. One of our friends sold his 996 GT3 recently and had a few leftovers including a fixed bucked GT3 seat. The only issue is that it was the wrong color.
Before: After: The dye will fad a bit as it cures and is conditioned. The cat man, Bill has some mad skills. Thanks If anyone needs a black comfort 993 power drivers set with a small tear in the bolster that has been repaired, let me know. No it is not heated. It will be coming out in the next couple of weeks.

The install was uneventful, managed to transfer the seat belt and the chime works as designed. The seat is designed for a 996 and sits slightly off center in the 993. According to the bathroom scale it saves 23.8 lbs over the electric comfort seat

I can already feel the leather sticking to my skin just by looking at the picture.
