Well, actually, the idea was to buy one for less in a bad color, change the color, add x73, all for way less than a new 718 4.0 gts

Go to the 981 page on Rennlist and put out a feeler. There is always someone on the fence that could be swayed for the right offer.

I agree 100%, prices are crazy right now on 981 S

Karen thinks I should wait until fall to get one, but you won’t find that dream car if your not looking

At the same time, no point in over paying

Right now I don’t have a street p-car, and that makes me sad

Prices will not be cheaper in the fall. Inflation numbers out today, used car prices in general are up 7% month over month in May 2021 and up 10% month over month in April 2021. Porsche’s are up…

What are you looking for, options price range etc?

981 boxster s, blue or silver, pdk, sport chrono, would like painted hoops

price? that depends. if the car is right, i am willing to pay a fair price given options, condition, etc.

Nearly impossible to get right now. Easier to get a GT3! At least you can pay for one of those.

i know, i know

that is why it is so frustrating

the epa stop sale on 981/991 sport chrono cars has resulted in a more limited supply and inflated prices

as much as i want a 981 S, and am considering a 718 (982) S, because the 981 S prices are so over inflated right now

karen says just wait until the right car at the right price comes along

so i keep looking

Noticed a flood of new Boxster 981 listings

I assume the EPA issues have been resolved, does anyone know?

Wondering if the $1B fine VW and BMW just got hit with has anything to do with it

I also noticed some listing price drops, but I think they are still about $5K too high after

In the mean time I showed Karen the 25th anniversary edition Boxster, which I should not have done

I configured one on the Porsche web site, but was very disappointed I could not get the hoops painted in that snappy gold trim color - an oversight on an otherwise gorgeous special edition car

I suggested gt silver, black leather, black top but Karen likes the gt silver / red / red

With only 1250 count world wide, not likely to happen anyway, but one can dream!
