Unfortunately, AER has grown and become very competitive, and we are one of the slowest cars on track now.

Our RX7 is built to the rules, fun to drive and we have LOTS of spare parts and consumables. If you're interested in purchasing an almost turnkey car (motor finally let go after 5 years of racing), although we have several spare motors.
I'd also be happy to talk to you more about Lemons costs and strategies.

PM me if you'd like to discuss further.
This...is the lowest risk way to get in to it. The only disadvantage is having to build the knowledge-base on the rotary, assuming nobody on the team is a rotary-head. Fresh-ish motor, tires, brakes, gas, lots of extra oil, go race.

I'm not a rotary pro but been involved in more than a few, unfortunately/fortunately? my buddy has a decent amount of apex seal experience. Its sort of funny, he has an old rx7 sitting around, his right thought was no rotary!

But for me everything is on the table

Just remember rotaries have no redline, so when your team mates blow up the clutch, you can still keep your foot to the floor in 3rd gear on the longest straights. Just ignore that annoying over - rev buzzer and see if you can hit 10k.

Love it

The current 'plan' sounds insane to me, maybe that's the point.

My '79 RX7 would rev WELL about 9K, but had significantly less power up in that range (or anywhere near it).
