My brother and I took my car for a little 150 mile round trip to go visit my car's former owner, owner number 2 from whom I bought the car 10 years, 8 months and 1 day ago. He was blown away with the car and tried to buy it back. Sorry, not for sale- but I did tell him he was the 3rd person to try to buy it. Great ride, top off, windows down, sun shining, and 6 singing:

Took a nice 100 miles round trip with about 25 other P-cars, mostly air cooled cars. Only two 914-6's in the crowd but we were proud to represent the 914. Went from downtown Livermore to The Junction, a small restaurant at the top of the mountain, 50 miles of perfect curves and inclines and declines, designed, IMHO for our cars. No issues and everyone had tacos, quesadillas and some beverages at the lunch stop. Great road, great people and a great time had by all.

That looks like SO much fun. The shots in the neighborhood look very familiar. The houses look so much like my old neighborhood in Novato/Marin County. I know...I know stucco houses with tile roofs aren't exactly uncommon in NorCal

Very cool rear grill on the blue car (with the tiny Euro Cup mirrors). Also, I still think the new Targas are amazingly gorgeous.

Hey Dr K - I agree. I have never wanted a 911 Targa until this Targa design came out. I love the way it looks.

If I ever decide to get another 911- I would put that Targa at the top of the list - although when it comes to 911's I have always had coupes, 7 of them so far.

Over the weekend my brother and I attended the West Coast Ramble (WCR) in Petaluma. On Friday we had probably 30+ 914's for a nice "technical" drive through he wine country roads. Roads seemingly made just for our cars. Then on Saturday we did the more open course that was mostly a coastal drive through more beautiful roads and scenery. We ended the event with a talk about the 914 given by Pete Stout (Excellence and 000 Magainze) and a socially distanced dinner. Great times were had by all and no 914's were hurt during the event.

Beautiful, Michael. I bet it was a blast.

Looks like you were in the Bodega Bay area? Looks like you also made friends with ValcoOscar there, too

Yes indeed. We were all through the wine country and Bodega Bay area. Oscar was there too and we all had a great time; though that was Oscar's car, it now belongs to a great guy, Mark Howard. But Oscar brought his Sunoco themed blue car so we had 2 of Oscars cars (if you will) in the event. Let me tell you the one parked in front of my car has a Raby 2.4 motor and that engine is strong.

The funny thing was, (a lot of the participants were older) in Bodega Bay where we stopped to stretch our legs and a much needed bio-break, we could not find an open restroom anywhere. All had signs closed to the public, etc. Ended up walking 200 yards to a pair of chemical toilets on the main artery with cars whizzing past. Fortunately no problem and we ended up stopping at the Safeway about 30 minutes up the road for a quick lunch. Hard to find a place to park 30+ cars, so people stopped where they wanted for lunch on Saturday.
