Forgot to mention: Top honors for story of the day go to Doug for his at-speed close encounter with Bambi.

Like Bill said, thanks to all the NoVa crew who came out to see and support us today (Charlie, Richard, Maurice, Ted and William).

The day was an absolute blast and I can't wait for tomorrow so we can hit the track again.

If anyone is coming out tomorrow look for us in the paddock and stop by and say hello.

Keith - my car was #881 (Blue SC with yellow tape on lights) and I will gladly take any pictures you have.

Hey Guys,

What a beautiful day to hang out and smell the fumes of hot engines, gassing breaks and non-EPA approved emissions.

I was in the paddocks hanging with Bill and Doug. It was nice to meet a few other local Porschphiles also, Ted and Maurice. To bad I was not able to meet you Keith.

I'm anxiously awaiting my pictures back from MotoPhoto. Took a bunch of Bill and Doug and a few other neat looking cars as well. Jbailey, if you were in the Green run group, yours was one of the 'neat' cars I took a picture of, stay tuned.

I created an new album in the gallery, "Local DE Events". Within that album, there is a nested album called "PCA Potomac - Summit Point". Feel free to upload your photos there. The interface should be self explanatory.

I should have some pics. in there this evening.

Charlie - thanks for the posting the pictures ... they look great! Can't remember if you were shooting digital or 35mm but if they were 35mm, can I get the negs to make some reprints?

Also, when I save these posted pics to my pictures folder on my hardrive (either as .art of .jpg files) and then go into my Kodak Pictures software I can't see them. Do you know of a way around this?

had a great time seeing you guys making turns!

Richard, William, and myself pretty much toured around the track on foot -and had the good fortune of witnessing the oil slick - followed by the cleanup from hell.

i found myself taking most pics with the 35mm - so as soon as i develop them - i'll ask for your addresses and will be happy to mail them out.

Charlie:

Please remove the DE photos, as I find them both offensive and depressing. Offensive because it looks like it was a beautiful weekend, and when I went last year, it was wet on Saturday and rained the whole day Sunday (and the temperature was only in the low to mid 30s). Depressing because I had to cancel out of this event at the last minute because I screwed around all winter and did not get my brakes fixed in time.

Oh well, even though I did not attend this event, I was fortunate enough to be able to come in the office and work both days instead. After all, who wants to be out driving around the track when it is 65 degrees and sunny???

Thanks Charlie. Those are really nice shots. I appreciate you doing that. I'm going to make one my wallpaper at work right now. It was great to see you out there. I'm sore and still pooped this morning. But I drove the 911 in to work because I couldn't think of driving anything else.
