Here's another shot of me following Carl (Patrick3000) in his E36

I don't have any idea what's up with that guy who appears to be sitting on the grass between the cars!

There was an SCCA National Race going on at Summit Point main track (we got to see the qualifying on Saturday) . He was a corner worker on the main track, on the inside of T3 (they use a LOT more corner stations and workers at sanctioned race events than we do at DE's).

Thanks for the pics Tony! I was hoping someone was able to get a shot or two of my Lotus on the track, but skidpad shots are great!

To the instructors down on the skidpad early in the morning, what did you think of Don's 360* drift around the skidpad in the Titan? lol I swear we were gonna roll when he cut it back to the left and the rear grabbed the dry pavement. I think it even surprised Don lol

Unfortunately, my student was in the Khaki group, same as you. So tuff to take pics during those afternoon sessions (my son was also in that group, driving the Red 944S2).

Some of us were doing what our instructors told us to do (or not to do).

Therefore, any implication that there was a lack of consideration or otherwise poor judgement concerning a "point by" or lack thereof, should be completely disregarded because theoretically this was a clinic and not a race; and "point bys" or lack thereof, passing or lack thereof, speed or lack thereof, and lines or lack thereof, were completely based upon an instructors' assessment of the particular driving situation and not necessarily those of the particular driver.

Laura,

Why did you think that this was directed at you? It was a lot fun chasing you in that last run group: BTW I pick up my 914 this weekend so that’s the last point by I expect to see for a long time.

Thank you Tony P and Peter for posting pics. Since I do not have a clone (that I know of ), I could not take pictures of myself on the track.

And thanks to everyone on the HPDC staff for making it a really fun day. I got very high "smiles per gallon" on Saturday.
