Do you plan on any heat shielding on the exhaust?

Yes, for the driver side I will put some heat blanket. The right side should be OK.

Thanks for the updates, good work as usual. I had bad luck with heat tape, just seemed to trap moisture and debris. Maybe I used cheap stuff? Ended up with a sheet metal shield that worked great, when it didnt rattle.

I really like the idea of one of these, looks like a hoot

Nice work...love the attention to detail. Getting the steering knuckle hooked up from between the tubes looks more difficult than the stock turbo model which is a REAL PITA since you have to hook it up while lifting the motor into place. A turbo model rear diffuser would look good to compliment the exhaust...

I have seen the same issues with wrapping Ex pipes. Unlike shielded tubes wrapped pipe degrade very fast. I think the metal simply runs far hotter.

The 944 is now official on the road.

Here are some pictures.

Some picture at night with the GT LED headlights.

Low beam.

High Beam.

Also the dash lights are LED.

Next: Driving and sort it all out.

Cheers

Just in time for cold weather, I finished the A/C.

Made all custom lines. Now the car is complete to use for any weather. There are still some cosmetic little things to do, it never ends of course. LOL.

Here are some pictures:

Now, since this is done, I can start on the SC suspension overhaul.

Cheers

This has got to be a rocket. What's the weight penalty for installing a V8 over the standard -4? I guess the next question is: Have you corner balanced it (yet)? Regardless, your level of work is without compromise! Great job!

Here is the corner balance sheet. Since it was close I did not change anything.
