The engine drop this afternoon was a SUCCESS!! The engine is currently sitting on the stand right next to the 911. Its pretty strange to see the engine next to its body. Like showing the head its body after a decapitation....nevermind me.....its been a long day.
We started about 11:00 and were done at 4:30. Thanks to Jim, Dan, Eric, Bill, Greg and Marc via phone support for their help. Thanks to all who braved the weather and showed up. I could have not done it without you. The next task is to slowly start removing items from the engine for R&R, cleanup and upgrades. I'll post pictures once they get developed.....BTW: new album in the gallery for Engine Drops

Charlie, Good thing you didn't schedule the engine drop for Sunday. I'd say those streets are impossible today. But it's a good day for taking some brake cleaner to that engine case. Knock yourself out.

I have a feeling the engine will be down to the bare block by tomorrow evening. I'm going to be stuck here for a long time. These roads are usually the last to get plowed and there is no way im going to be able to make it to work tomorrow. woohoo

Charlie--
I hate the thought of you being snowed in with only your P-car and girlfriend to keep you company. I will be happy to come down in the jeep and rescue you. Just let me know.
