Ok. Let's change topics now to shoe size. I know how everyone says the balls of your feet and/or toes should be controlling the brake pedal. But, brake pedal hight seems to be designed for someone with a size 5 shoe size these days! I mean, I don't want to brag but some pedals seem to meet my foot right in the middle of my arch
Anyone else annoyed by this.

I can heel and toe three different ways, and pick one depending on the pedal placement and size.
1 - tip of right foot points left. toes press on brake pedal, heel hits gas pedal. 2 - tip of right foot points right. heel presses on brake pedal, toes hit gas pedal. 3 - tip of right foot points up. left side of instep presses on brake pedal, right side hits gas pedal.

tip of right foot points left. toes press on brake pedal, right side of right foot rolls right and hits gas pedal - easy to do with wide foot.. 1 foot/2 pedals.

If your brake pedal is too high with respect to the gas pedal, check to see if the brake pedal has a turnbuckle-style adjuster. You can shorten the turnbuckle by twisting it (loosen/retighten the lock nuts) and get the brake pedal height closer to the gas pedal height. That makes it easier too.
I take the rubber pads off the clutch and brake pedal so my shoes don't stick to the pedals. That makes it easier to move your feet around and position them right. And it's easier for me to work the pedals that way. Of course, it makes the pedals more slippery too, so your foot could just slide off the pedal. YMMV.

I stepped on a glass with my right foot 30 yrs ago. Pretty serious injury at the time. Nerves on the bottom of the foot are severed and I can only flex my pinkie toe downward. Basically it's a dead foot and I struggled with heel toe starting out. In my checkout ride from green to blue I was asked "how come you don't heel/toe" me "Well I have this injury....whaa...whaa" Inst "this ain't tennis, I suggest you figure it out if you plan on doing this sport"
He wasn't joking around and the tough love worked because I learned to heel/toe the next session out.
