eh, it's been in for about 3 years. I need to take it back apart though to get the flywheel resurfaced. Originally I was not going to fuch with it.

Realistically I'm still a couple years out from being able to participate in multi-day DEs. Way too much $$$ needed to replace wheels and update all the safety stuff just to go out for a couple of one-day track events.

Plus the damn car gets more valuable every frickin' day it sits in the carport. It had pretty much bottomed out in value (>$15k) when I parked it.

So for now I build Legos and pretend I am racing while sitting inside my house

I suppose if I was really desperate I could buy a 951 or something crappy like that just so I could go drive a few laps

I actually started reading the PCA weekly newsletter regarding Sim Racing. STILL not running down that rabbit hole (got way too many activities to add one more. . .). Besides, my guitars get lonely. Saw my 914 today. In the final phases of undoing all the hardcore track stuff and getting it on the road here in Kalifornia. Keeping the 2.7 and just softening the suspension a little for these amazingly smooth freeways (HEAVY SARCASM). Going to be presented as an outlaw with the relatively open exhaust I ran at MO and Watkins. Should be fun! Reason for no longer competing: both hips and both shoulders. I'm right at the 600K man level. . .

This is only for people who live in the DC area. When I started medical school, one of my classmates had just moved from California. He was having issues with the roads, and was driving into Georgetown when he saw a sign for "Freeway" so he took it expecting something like the freeways in California. It was the Whitehurst Freeway - imagine his disappointment!

I see what you did there

You are a smart guy, faster, more reliable and better balanced. You might be onto something

Here you go

If only we could fine one somewhere around here that was a better value.

Kind of fitting that a 944 ad is posted on a site about needing to bring a trailer
