meh, getting out is easy. Steering wheel QR makes it even easier, but someone has freakishly long arms

That's why I pulled the Recaro Pro Racer "halo" seat out of my 356 (less window opening than a E36 or 911) a few years back and went with a "non-halo" Recaro. No way to exit if seat wasn't moved all the way back.

We'll be able to put the QR back in now that I can get the seat far enough back.
