Yea,
We,ve been wondering for years what the chime is in the e36,but the new(er) car actually flashes a snowflake on the dash.

My old E30(s) chime and flash 37F on the OBC (on board computer) in the center pod.

Believe it or not ... saved my a$$ a few times in my 20's when hot rodding a little on wet-turned-black-ice country roads in CT. Wasn't even thinking about temp drop on wet road = ice/black ice.

BTW, calling it a "computer" in the E30 is a stretch.

My E36 chimes and shows a snowflake on the OBC as well. I use it as a reminder to be careful if I have summer tires on.

That's the same temperature the refrigerator in your kitchen is set to. Your 335i is indicating that there may be fresh food ahead.
