VIR 1998 vs 2020 video
Many of us have seen this top part of those video before. The bottom is today. Pretty cool.
I haven't been to VIR since 2018. When did they add the tires exiting Oak Tree (RIP) turn? https://youtu.be/4Gc4HNVYl-4 |

Looks like they are working on the tire walls and just have them stacked track side. I hope

Amazon has a show "dinner with racers" that did a VIR episode. It was pretty good. Haven't watched any of the others so don't know if the series is any good or not.

Amazing how the track had deteriorated following its original debut in 1954, and subsequent racing history. The 1973 fuel crisis cause the track to close in 1974. Reopened in 2000, and been running ever since.
Nice history page on VIR's website: https://virnow.com/about/history/ I wonder if VIR's early days was plagued with any deer problems?
