Default Garage Exhaust Hose

Any recommendations on brands/sources for exhaust hose? Is 3" the most common size?

Mine (got from Kurt) are about 5" - and you can borrow them if you'd like--I won't be using until at least September.

3 inch stuff works well. The key is how well it fits on the pipe. Too loose and you get gassed. Too tight and you can cook the hose adapter. Don’t let the hose sag at a sharp angle on the end of the pipe. You get a hot spot and more chance of back flow leakage. Keep the tube as straight as you an to promote flow. Done right the exhaust flow will draw in air around the adaptor.

Huge thank you to John for passing along the set he got from Kurt.

And to illustrate how important it is to pay attention to exhaust....

I had backed my (new to me) '75 FJ40 up to the edge of the garage door with the door open and walked away to get some supplies BEFORE hooking up the exhaust hose. 10' x 9' open door, FJ40 tires inside the garage with the tail pipe just outside. In just 2 or 3 minutes, the carbon monoxide detector on the other side of the garage went off and indicated 700 ppm CO.
