I'm very excited for the new vintage class -- hope we don't lose any volunteers. I'll be tied up with a couple cars myself but depending on general availability (i.e., whether the cars are (a) broken or (b) winning) I will try to help out elsewhere as much as possible.

Haha, it does say "Porsche" -- no one will be any the wiser. (Also it's an LS2 -- much better).

Will you be running radios for Josh? I met him for the first time this weekend after seeing his car at Behe's with M E C K L E R plastered all over it. John is super bullish on him and his future. Keep us up to date on his weekend!

In the olden days...probably '97-98, Club Racing at Summit was Friday and Saturday with a full day of DE on Sunday. This was when club race weekends only had ONE race-no two sprints, no enduro....Some of the club racers would stay on and do the DE on Sunday, most who had signed up were too tired from racing for two days that they bailed. Eventually Enduros came on board and it was a full race weekend. IF my memory is correct, the DE group during the club race was brought on around 2009 or when the economy dumped and attendance dropped. Many regions who did not have a DE group added one to help pay the bills.

That's your PCA History moment from a guy who is not yet 50

Haha. Yeah he's the main reason I'll be there, though primarily doing some coaching and chassis stuff.

I'm bullish about him, too -- based on his data, he could be flirting with low 1:24s if he tweaks some things. Hell, perfect conditions/circumstances wouldn't rule a 1:23.9 out of the realm of possibility. In a N/A 944!

Back in the days when I was Club Race Chair (for 6 years) we did not have a DE. They were added as Manny says the economy tanked and numbers of racers dropped from about 150 down to not much over 100 and we needed to add the advanced DE to get close to breaking even. I think Manny is actually older than me

John, are you working Race Tech & scales again this year? There is one PCA national Scrute that in the past has focused on certain Potomac cars. I don't know if he is showing up to our event next month though.
