I have heard the same as Karl when it comes to amount of damage and still permissible to CPO...

I should add that I think CPO is extremely valuable, not only from a warranty perspective but also because certification requires that the car be brought current on all maintenance.

This is a tremendous value.

For example my current 997.2 C2S was not purchased from a Porsche dealership.

Deferred maintenance was $1800, new rear tires $700 and an aftermarket extended warranty was $5000.

All of the above would have been covered with a CPO car and it would have been much cheaper to purchase a CPO car.

The car I ended up buying was the perfect spec for me and with only 849 cars produced worldwide in 2011 that was not an option.

Given the choice I would buy CPO, just NOT the car Scott posted.
