Fantastic you are driving it like it should be driven, even though some might say it should be in a showroom!!

So I was out driving Friday and it began to rain......not a problem, it was built to drive. I see my little miniature wiener doggie, Roxanne, got into the picture as she was checking to make sure the car was OK.

OK, finally got the time to get her back in shape after getting caught in the rain. Spent about 4 hours cleaning the underside and then the exterior and ended with a nice coat of Carnauba wax. This photo is before the wax!

Today I finally was abler to add the Compliance sticker back onto the car. It looks great and came from CarBone. I also added my PCA sticker- I have been a member for about 40 years.

I had a nice talk with Steve Wong, SW Chips, about the SW custom chip in my '87 3.2 in my Six. I told him when we spec'd the chip, the engine was a stock '87 3.2 with 964 cams. However it now has Ben's (MB911 on 914World.Com) custom stainless steel large tube (1.62") heat exchangers and free flow stainless steel muffler. The stock heat exchangers are maybe 1.5" if memory serves me. So that is a pretty big difference in exhaust gas handling. Steve said he could definitely fine-tune his chip to accommodate the new exhaust. So I will pull the DME out from under the seat and remove the chip and ship it off to him. I am not trying for more power, this car has plenty of power and runs great, I just want the engine to run the best it can and as clean as it can. BTW, new SW custom chips are in the $900 range and to fine-tune one if his custom chips is $250.

Got a prefect set of Hella Euro rear lenses. I think they look a lot nicer than the US version with the dark colors like my Irish Green.

I have not had my car out for about a month, weather, work, etc., so when a local Cars & Coffee club reached out to me and asked me to join I jumped at the opportunity. So Friday, nice sunny morning at 0900 I joined their group and these guys loved my car. We ended up with a nice group of about 30 cars and even had 1 other 914 show up.

Glad you're enjoying it when you can, Michael. Looks like another beautiful day in Northern CA.

Winter finally arrived here on the east coast about 2 weeks ago. Fair amount of ice and snow and rain, so I think mine's going to be in the garage a while. Oh well, I need to drop the engine and find an oil leak anyway...

I am waiting for the arrival of my NOS 3.2 airbox, should be any day, so I can install that and get rid of the K&N filter cone. I want to quiet the intake nose a bit. These engines suck some air when the RPMs are climbing. I also have to pull the front bumper and fix a fog light bulb that came loose from the housing. Finally, yank the chip out of the DME and send it to Steve Wong. I think that's about it for projects.
