I would be down. I don’t think there are many MD Dorki’s though. My place is still a work in progress.

Leiden, great garage! Sliding door is awesome, what do you use for the "glass" up by the roof line? Great way to bring in natural light.

The upper glass section are sealed 25mm Poly Carb 5 wall panels. I love it ... rarely do I need to have lights on during the day. Thanks. Tons of blood, sweat, and tear in all the custom peices.

Wow. That's gorgeous! Really well thought out and executed. Super nice.

How about we start a list of locations where people are willing to have people stop by, and we put something together? Maybe a morning to early afternoon thing, with the last stop being a BBQ? Which we can host, unless there is a better suggestion/location.

Either it will die on the vine with not enough interest/commitment, or we'll get something going and it could be a lot of fun.

So far we have:

I traded a single space shop for a smaller garage and big indoor shop. Have to share space with a blue Ford too. The auto part still works if not as convenient. The rest works real well. Space for woodworking and my son has his own tool box and bench. Only some of that space pictured.

Woodstock is a bit off the beaten path.

I think a lot of us want to get out to Kurt's place - probably not time to hit many other places that day, though, so perhaps a separate date.

While taking about Kurt, I need to lay a large
Thank You!
on Kurt for something he taught me about 15 years ago. I had a bolt break off and brought it over to his (much closer at that time) place, and he used a left-twist drill bit to make the hole, but the broken part of the bolt unscrewed without needing to get to the extractor. After many years never successfully extracting any of my broken bolts myself, I broke off an M6 bolt in my Cayman. Got myself a set of extractors which included left-thread drill bits from NAPA yesterday (Irwin brand, not cheap) an imagine my delight when, while drilling out a hole in the remaining bolt it just backed itself out--just like when Kurt did it! Thank you Kurt!

Hey no worries. My shop is not all that much. The mountain, valley and rivers are the thing.
