I think the Motorolas are on the family frrequencies because they only have a two-mile range.

Thanks Charlie. I'll get those photos from you at some point.

I sure wish I was joining you guys on Saturday. I'm committed to another weekend trip, though.

But I'm getting more and more of a feeling that the Hershey trip is in my future. I've got my 3.2 badge installed now, with the background painted black, and I gave the car a good washing this morning.

Sorry you won't be able to make it Bill - have fun on your trip.

Richard - I thought you were going to be the radar detector

Kurt - 912.5? You should round up and call it a 913.

As far as the talkies go, the cheaper ones are all 2 mile ranges and I'm guessing that's what most of us will have. Those don't have the privacy channel so we will definately be using the public frequencies.

The Motorolas use FRS spectrum - only.

I'm getting antsy for the run on Saturday - must be this great weather after months of freeze and snow!

How may do we look like having, Doug??

Right now we are up to 21 P-cars (20 911's and 1 912.5) plus Geoff on his Ninja. If anybody wants to see the current roster just check my sticky thread because the participants are listed there.

As far as weather goes they are forecasting showers starting in the afternoon so we should be all wrapped up by the time the rain comes. It wouldn't hurt, however, if we all pray to the Porsche gods and ask for clear skies

Would a tiptronic Boxster be allowed at a future fun run? I got set up on a blind date last night with a really cool girl, who had no idea I had a Porsche and started peppering me with car questions. Turns out she has a Boxster and even gave me a ride home in it. She's coming to the Intersport tech session to learn how to change her oil, so this may turn out to be a good match.
