Recommendations for "intranet in a box" products?
Anyone have any experience with an "intranet in a box" solution that they can recommend? I'm at a small 30 person company with no real tech group other than me, and we are looking to find a turnkey solution (either SAAS or installed on top of office 365 sharepoint) to give us some intranet capabilities for content and file storage. The trouble we are having is whittling down to a solution as there are so many products out there we might as well throw darts at the wall to pick one.
Anyone have any positive experiences or recommendations in this area? Matt

My office is a bit smaller (10 people). We have a MS Server set up here, along with the data store. Desktops are all connected via ethernet. We can also remote in and access the files, printers, etc. We have one employee working remotely from Boston for 2 years using this method, and may be adding one in Michigan soon.

Thanks Dave. Were set on that end, but the powers that be have decreed that we will have an intranet with departmental sites, blogs etc by q4. As we have no developers (and I don't feel like learning ruby or python or whatever the flavor of the month is, it needs tro be plug and play with pre-made templates that just need to be customized...

If you are looking for an open source solution, you can run a virtual machine using Alfresco. That can be deployed on a Amazon Cloud fairly inexpensively or on premise if you are running a virtual environment.

You sure the powers that be wouldn't be happy with G Suite (google)?
