What car do you most regret selling?
For me it was my 2001 e39 estate. M package and 3 pedals. I’d kill to get it back.

Purely $$ 280sl. Really nice car, $ when I sold it, $$$$ since.
Similar for my 88 911 but it went to a friend so its all good. Still wish I had it though.

My 69-911 and my 73-911. The 73 was rust free, black with black interior, it was in great condition. Sold it for 12k.....

I had a 1999 Zanardi Edition NSX. I went looking for a used one. Then I discovered the Cayman R and never looked back.
I've sold a number of other cars I liked a lot but never regretted selling: Lotus Europa John Player Special [wonderful car when it ran] MB 300 SEL 6.3 MB 450 SEL 6.9 I find my A7 to be a terrific replacement for the two MBs, but I'd replace it with an RS7 if my wife liked the wood. Go VW!

My 1980 R65. I didn't ride it enough and essentially traded it for a Miata. Went two years without a bike and bought a modern one with EFI, which I rode more in one year than 10 years of the old one. Still miss the R65, though. Likely will buy another.

None. I regret that I hang onto cars.

The LS1 951 I had for 6 years. And I only regret I sold it right before I got into DEs. It would’ve been ridiculous on track.
I’ve had the opportunity twice in the past year to get it back, but I think I’m over it. Lots of other cars I want to experience.

I'm with John, selling a car is usually a relief for most of the cars I've owned.
The regret comes from the ones I didn't buy, but I know they'll just end the same for the most part - 993 excepted.

Interesting concept....being over it What is like is a wad of money, say $20-25k. Just buy a car I'd like to experience and drive it for a year. Then swap it for something else on the list. Since they aren't keepers they don't have to be the best example of the genre. I never had a Wrangler. I'd like to experience that but it's not a long term affair for me. I bought a Miata. I always wanted one.... It's too small for me so I could move on, but the missus likes it.
