I noticed a small oil drip on the 996. Never really worked on the engine before, any thoughts on what I might need to check. Also what part is this? Thanks

Can you highlight the leak?

Cant tell if its oil or dirt on the scavenge pump.

Ah, scavenge pump. That is what part is called...lol Yeah, looks like oily dirt on there. Very slow drip. a drop every few months.

Probably nothing to worry about at the moment. Just wanted to get an idea what to be on the lookout look for.
