SO, I've received my replacement alternator (with pulley included) and will be installing it later today.

What is the suggested belt tension? No, I don't have a tension tool.. And besides somewhere between "too tight and too loose" is there a frame of reference? a certain amount of belt deflection etc?

Not sure if it matters, but this car has AC delete, so the belt runs just from the engine to the alternator.. and tension is achieved via a turnbuckle.

Thanks.

~1/2" of deflection

Please dont waste your $$ on a belt tension tool
