So it has been a month since I got it back. Been on vacation celebrated Christmas and New Years. Got caught up at work from vacation. Now to spend some time on the car. I have the door handles installed put the taillights in, Braces for the front fenders. Today I repaired a slipping odometer gear and started to put the headliner in the car.

The headliner is going badly I pulled the liner and clamped it in place. The top looked pretty tight but as soon as I glued the edges all kinds of pull lines.

Try to heat it up a bit with a hair dryer or heat gun, but very careful.

Cheers

If within a day or so you can also heat the glue down points GentleY and pull them back off. Practice/test on some scrap to get the feel for distance and linger time with the heat gun. If you have an induction heater make a flat zigzag plate and use that rather than than the heat gun. You heat the metal and then the glue lets go before the headliner softens. Don't pull hard or you will deform the cloth. Gentle even tug and move along as will feel the glue let go.

Well the headliner is in. I can say its the best headliner I have ever installed in a 911. Has more pull lines than I would prefer.

I am going to change from a Blue and Black interior to a Medium Tan and Black interior. I am hoping to do the dash and the back shelf in tan to cut down on the heat when driving on warmer days.
