Default Euro H4 Lens Replacement??

Seems that a rock has found me this morning. It's been so long since I put these on the car, I don't recall the nuances. I do recall the trim ring was a little cranky to get on.

Anyhow, new lens seems to be hard to find, but I have found a couple from eBay. Is this a straightforward project? Does this easily come apart to swap the lens?

Damn, that is an unfortunate location. A little higher up and a circle of clear bra would have been able to keep it good for many more years.

Should be very straightforward from what I remember.

A bunch of little clips hold the glass on from the inside. Take a picture before you take the clips off so you can replicate. All can be done by hand - just need a screwdriver to take off the one screw holding the whole assembly to the car.

I think there is also a seal around the perimeter of the glass you can replace.

Thanks

I was stumped by the removal....forgot about the screw in the screw deal. Those clips shoot FAR for anyone referring to this thread later.

This is super easy to do steve, just make sure that your seal for both the lens and the h4 ring are still good to go. As far as a lens do you care if they are bosch or aftermarket?

Here is a link to one for $31.88

Rennline makes them for $35.00

Oh man, I wish you posted this before I ordered. I paid like $100 for a Bosch part. It's really Bosch whcih is important so some people. The one that didn't get broken (I bought 2 at a time) was AL or whatever they changed too. I'm not gonna pass the concourse.
