Does anyone know of a dorkiphus-like group focused on BMW's. I.e. a DC, MD and VA group of guys that do the Bimmer thing?

Not that I know of but, good idea.
The www.spece30.com guys are strong in this area and they have a forum [and pics with trophy girls!!!!]. There is also the PP site [a little weak] and e30tech.com [pretty good] and bmwe30.net [good tech articles - don't like the BB forum]. If you have an iX, I HIGHLY recommend Gordon Haines iX registry here. www.Bimmer.com has the E30M3 special interest group [SIG] and BMW CCA CR [club race] SIG as well. Recently found: http://www.bimmerdiy.com/ which is a great compilation of tech articles from one web portal [links to many of the above mentioned sites]. Jase |

Dorkiphus is pretty unique, I think. The mid-atlantic regional board on bimmerforums.com is about as close as gets though. But it has its share of guys obsessed with rimzzZzz and body kits. There are a lot of guys on there who know their autox and track-day stuff too.
The message board on nccbmwcca.org is an older crowd but an overall slower forum. |

I don't know of any either. Keep us posted if you find anything good.
