All other things being equal, would you pay more for a car that used synthentic oil? (1992 BMW 325i)

how would one verify this? unless the seller has a reciept for every quart they ever bought...

If the Mfg. spec'd it, and car was serviced at the dealer only ... maybe, yes.

No, I wouldn't pay a premium for it, but I'm too cheap to buy synthetic in the first place.

If it was verifiable, I would chalk it up as part of "good maintenance" which is something that I would pay extra for. How much more, I can't say. But to me, it is worth a little extra.

I'd be more interested in how frequently the oil was changed.

I've seen some pics of gummed up & sludgy top ends from running synthetic when left in there until the in-car diagnostic said the oil needed to be changed (this was on later E36s, though).

I'd chalk it up as one of those "intangibles" that make a car more desirable, but not worth more - as in the case where if I find two cars that are similar for similar prices, I'd buy the one with syth oil over the other. But I wouldn't pay a premium for it.
