Default Interesting BMW CCA req.

I was looking at doing a DE in CT (Lime Rock Park with my 325ix) to coincide with a weekend trip up there and when reviewing the application I find you have to join the BMW CCA chapter hosting the event. Not that it is a lot of $ ($15-$30 I guess) but the first time I have ever seen that.

I am glad I haven't come across this with PCA over that years. BMW CCA NJ claims to require this to maintain their .org (non-profit) status.

Interesting...

Interesting.....that's probably written into the bylaws of the chapters to make sure that those chapters who take an active role in coordinating/hosting events will receive some monetary benefits.

FWIW, if the NJ chapter is as good as the National Capital chapter, the fee should be well worth it. WE had a great time. Very well ran.

Here are some pics of my wife participating in a BMWCCA hosted HPDC last year.

Vu:

Looks like she had fun

I wish the National Capital chapter would expand thier "driving school" schedule but there are a multitude of reasons (not appropriate to discuss on an open forum ) that I think they will not.

Now here is an opportunity: German Touring Sportscar Challenge

Check out the VA Region schedule.

FEWC and E30 on the front row:

HHhhhmmm....

I joined the Audi club for the same reason. Talking with the local bmw guys they said you dont have to me a member technically to enter a DE, but members get first dibs and events are always full before they open to non-members. Not a bad deal really, plus I get a nice audi magazine once in a while now.
