I got a few more things done.

Made some door handles and pulls for the Carrera Targa.

Installed the windshield with a new seal.

Overhaulin' the fresh air system.

Testing the blower.

Think about it would do this all the time when driving the car
So I got a new one.

Ready for installation.

Next, I took the electrical panel from the engine compartment.

Disassembled, cleaned, blasted and powder coated.

For the door installation I made me a helper device to hold the doors.

I had a set of reinforcement plates for the door stays. The original studs were to short, so I drilled them out and used M6 hex bolts and nuts.

I also added power lock on this car.

Cheers
Engelbert

Are the door handles and pulls 3D printed?

That was the plan at first, but then I found just the rosettes alone, an covered them with the same grey vinyl, and made the handles from aluminum, and covered them as well.

This is unbelievable, will you take $10,000 for the car when completed!! LOL
I am sure this is way better than off the factory floor.

Agreed. This is probably my favorite thread on Dorki right now. I don't have this skillset, but I could watch it all day.

Got a few more small things done.

When I got the car there were all pieces under the left fender missing. No gas vapor tank, no windshield washer tank and no support, etc. I found a good Windshield washer tank, but without cover and center piece for the tubing for nozzles and pump.

I made the cover and center piece for the washer tank with the 3D printer.

The support I found was blasted and Powder coated. The small items zinc plated.

I also installed the new engine tin seals.

Hope you all staying safe

Cheers
Engelbert
