Default bring gas to the glen

so, after running around in the cayman yesterday, i found myself home and, as it turns out, on 0.3 gallon of gas

no problem, i thought, tomorrow i will fill up and be ready for the early am drive to Watkins Glen

news flash, people from Texas to Maine are storming gas stations due to the pipeline shutdown from hacking, perhaps a terrorist attack, who knows

with no gas in the cayman at 10pm last night, i decided a gas run was in order

closest station was Sheetz's and it was pandemonium!

fortunately no shots fired, at least not while i was there

13.7 gallon of 93 pump gas at $3.99!

this should not impact PA, but perhaps NY will be impacted

if you have gas cans you might want to fill up in PA on the way to the glen

crazy

100% agree

and several pumps had yellow bags over them

i think they were trying to limit the speed of the drain

I just got back from running an errand ~2:00 today in Rockville and was going to gas up the truck (on 1/4 tank) and get a few gallons in a can for the track car.
A few stations were closed entirely. I passed about 10 open stations and all had 4-5 cars waiting at each pump. I didn't need gas that badly so just kept driving.

Just stopped in the daily for gas up in white marsh and the BP is out of gas…. Guess this is the only time where running all my cars low might be an issue lol.

Apparently you just don't have enough stupid, short-sighted, panicky people in your area. Want some?

I was starting to think people in this area might be smart enough to avoid the panic, based on what I saw yesterday and this morning. But no, they aren't -- on my way home, every gas station had long lines of cars waiting for a pump. The local Liberty station has raised the price of regular over a dollar a gallon since Monday, and the Exxon across the street was even higher, and both were packed.

Amazingly enough, diesel appears to have only gone up by about 25 cents a gallon in this region. I guess there just isn't as much panic for diesel (yet).

I have 200 gallons of diesel on site for equipment but no extra gas but the cans. I don’t store any of it in plastic bags so it keeps well.

Saw a woman on the news earlier filling plastic bags full of gas. Then trying to double bag them before putting them in car.

Saw another filling regular 5 gal. Cans in the back of another.

Crazy shite people do!
