Yup - the ranges vary by car model. However, in general Range 1 and 2 are no big deal.

Here's another page with Cayman-specific info: https://www.caymanregister.org/faq.p...arch&q=limiter

Though I believe in the R, the hard rev limiter is 7,400. Ed, you had an R... Can you confirm this?

Report from the dealer... 873.23 hours. That means the last time it hit the rev limiter was about 5 hours ago. I had a feeling... a young guy came out to test drive it a little while back, and clearly didn't know how to drive manual, though he said he did. He buckles in, puts it in gear, and with the clutch in, totally guns it... I figured he hit the rev limiter, but wasn't sure. I suggested I drive instead! Suffice to say, he decided a PDK was more his style.

Absolutely! BTW, I found out a few months ago that HLT can use the 10Hz sample rate of the Apex instead of the 1Hz in the iPhone. I'm hoping this year to get everything working right so I can load the data and videos into Track Attack. In previous years I kept getting stuff screwed up so I never got everything.
