I spoke again to the guy selling it and he said the price was negotiable.

Default Price Drop

Price has been lowered to $7900 and is now listed locally on Craigslist

A Dorki had the car checked out. He sayes the car has some issues. Check this in mind when thinking about the car.

I had the car checked out and it definitely has plenty of issues with bondo, rust and sloppy weld repairs. Some of the previous posts above caught some of these issues in the photos. On the positive, the engine runs great and the car shifts well. It's a good driver that definitely needs some work.

With that said, the owner and the guy helping him sell it are very nice people. I think when the owner bought it a year or so ago from a distance, the Porsche shop in Houston that did the PPI were not very thorough.

It's worth looking into, especially if you can do some of the work yourself.

I'd take the Alfa, even if it does look like the love child of a 911 and a Miata.

Bummer. Rust, bad work and bondo, in my book that = Back away slowly then turn and run with wallet firmly planted in pocket. Goes to show that photos are no replacement for eyes on inspection by someone that know what they are looking at and for.

The car is on Ebay now and has already bid up to $5100 with about 4 days left. That is about $1600 more than I would pay for it. It needs a minimum of $4000 worth of work. And that is just for rust/bondo issues. Doesn't included wrong seats, strange wiring, etc.

Again, it might be ok for one who can do a lot of their own work.

Wow, it went for $9100 on Ebay which was above the original asking price.

I hope the bidder had an inkling of what they were getting themselves into.
