Anyone have experience, or know a consultant who works the fitness biz? I'm looking at Anytime Fitness and/or Snap Fitness. I like the concept, but would it be easier/cheaper to start one from scratch? Thought/input?

I belong to Anytime and Golds. I have a close friend who started a gym that was bought out by Anytime after a few years. He now consults on a limited basis. If you want me to put you in touch with him pm me.

I used to go to an Anytime right near my house. A year after I started, Mountainside Fitness opened a giant facility across the street and matched Anytime's price. Put them out of business in no time. I went to Anytime to work out one day and the bldg. was abandoned, they had packed up in the middle of the night.
