Hey, thanks for getting the info out for the event. I think we saw your Xterra. What a great example of self-less acts of kindness by the community.

The Sheriffs Dept had posted no-parking signs so that yellow cars had places to park and then directed the traffic. In addition to a ton of yellow Cameros, there were 5 identical yellow pickup trucks from a construction company, 2 backhoes, 2 Penske moving trucks, a Bart bus that said "Happy Birthday Whitaker" on their electronic banner, a beautiful yellow fire truck from Woodbridge, a yellow Thing from VW of America, a special kid-sized Mazarati from Mazarati that they had wrapped in yellow with the Transformers logo, etc., etc.

The family had helpers who tossed yellow koozies in the yellow cars to thank those who came (i think they ran out), and the aunt took photos of people by their cars, and the kid was adorable - shocked, then shy, then excited...

(Ryan, you picked a good link - you can see a glimpse of me and Charlie driving by in the FJ.)

Yeah. I was right near the beginning, and I think I saw you roll by. I was going to say something, but you weren't next to me for very long. It was a great success across the board. I'm glad there was such a good turnout.

Reviving an old thread for a new event:

At Katie's a couple weeks ago, I was approached by a woman who is with the Great Falls Optimist Club. They are trying to recruit Yellow Cars to participate in the Great Falls Fourth of July Parade.

Unfortunately I'm going to be out of town. But if you have a fun Yellow car and would like to participate in the parade, PM me for her contact information.
