I did the same thing as Engineer did with his, cut the 5 holes into slots. After I cut the slots open I found the the base was somewhat easy to bend. To correct this welded 3/8 bar stock to close the open ends of the slots and put back the lost rigidity. I think the roller would work fine without the added metal but you would need to be careful with it.

Ditto. Saw it today in person and looks like it came like that from Eastwood. Very nice work.

Just wanted to give my big thanks to Kurt for "fixing" the roller. It's an amazing job that looks better than the original. I'll keep you posted how the fender bender comes out.

Thanks Kurt.

Hey guys,
I'm in Richmond, VA for two weeks and will be in Chesapeake for another two weeks going to a course. I've got the 993 here and if at all possible, I'd love to take a whack at rolling my fenders.
I don't know where the test mule is located at the moment, but if it's within a reasonable distance, I would love to come try it out.
If any of you are interested in hooking up, give me a shout on my cell -406-868-6526

I am using the hotel courtesy computer and I won't have my laptop until next week so I may not be able to check back easily.

Leland

Hey Lee, I'm down to take a drive to Richmond. When is a good time for you, weekends? I have the fender roller, let us know when you are available, Dave and I will come down.

I just talked to Leland and his plans might change some but ether way he thinks he can make it up some evening this week. I have a roller that is slated for modding as the other one was that will be done tonight. If folks want we might be able to get a fender rolling session at the Taj some night this week.

He will know more this afternoon.
