Thanks for chiming in guys. Unfortunately I do not have that level of skill. I'm not shy about wrenching but live in a condo so my tool / war chest is only so big.

BTW, I've now made a couple of tools, all successfully. I made a flywheel lock (I believe I posted this), a poor-man's threadchaser (now have real taps - much much better), a wrench to remove fuel injectors (used on the first one, then realized it was easy to get them out without it), and a crimper tool for axle boot clamps. The threadchaser I made with advice from TR in fact, but the others I figured out the rest myself.

Out of curiosity, is it the same size as the strut mount for 944's? Looks like it might be.

I've got that socket, albeit home made. You can borrow my angle grinder if you like!

I may take you up on that offer. I'll need to pick up an additional 19mm and 21mm socket to modify.

What size is it? My pre-made socket may work for you. Otherwise feel free to use the angle grinder!
