Default Need milling assistance

Hi All,
I am in the process of converting my milling machine to a CNC mill. In doing so, the saddle needs a pocket (2" x 4" x 1/4") milled out to accommodate the z-axis lead screw bearing housing.

Anyone with a mill that can help or recommend a shop for the task?

Al

Yep, need to know what size part needs to be milled, and what material. I can probably help, if the part will fit on an old bridgeport. Got any pics?

The saddle is about 12" x 8" x 3" and is made of cast iron. I will try to attach a pdf of what needs to be milled.

I just got rid of my HF mini mill and purchased a Precision Matthews benchtop milling machine model PM-30MV.

That doesn't look too difficult.

Send me a pm if you want to come up one day next weekend.

Understood. I was a bit confused as most of the Bridgeport series 1 upgrades are plug and play when it comes to bolting in the ball screw upgrades.

My bridgeport isnt up and running yet, so I cant help at the moment. I do have some connections up in bmore if you dont end up finding a local shop or fellow dorki.
