Thanks for the warm and warning welcome.

VaSteve - The hardwire isn't that complex, I just used the instructions on www.p-car.com under the DIY section. I then mounted the V1 between the sun visors using a fabricated metal piece mounted under the visor attachments. I'll show you at the next event or can meet up with you sometime for a beer and PCar conversation.

Marc A - that isn't me, but it is Sam N.... Sam is from Baltimore and hangs out alot on Rennlist.

See you all around...

As they say in Donnie Brasco, Skip "is a friend of ours."

It's nice to have another 993 guy on this BBS. Jim pretends he doesn't have one and I think I'm the only other active poster. Be careful, Skip. Lots of guys here want your engine and aren't above stealing it for a day just to prove they can do it.

Steve,

If I have the time, I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them for you.

Default Introduction

Hi,

I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm currently shopping for my first 911 for use as a daily driver. I'm looking for an AWD Cabriolet of a recent vintage (993 or 996 - haven't decided which I'm more interested in yet). I currently have a BMW M5 which is a great highway distance car. Now I'm looking for a fun car I can drive every day with the option of dropping the top when the weather is warm and the sun is out. I live in Potomac, MD and work at Shady Grove Hospital in Rockville, MD.

If anyone has any suggestions on where to look for a car like this or tips I should heed when looking at these cars, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
David

Greetings!
Good to have another Dorki on the north side of the creek!
If you stop by the ER waiting room stop by the coffee bar and tell Gino I said Hi!

Good luck on your car search!

David

There is a blue 996 carrera 4 cab @ the dealership I work at. I don't know much about the particulars (age, mileage, price, etc...) but if you call me @ work I could find out what it is for you (301.215.5463). If you like what you hear then I can introduce you to someone to let you drive the car. I'd do it myself but I'm in the service dept. Anyway let me know.

Mike

David,

You should look at the most recent Panorama magazine. Depending on your interests and budget, it has some P-cars that might interest you.

If you don't have a copy, let me know, I can loan you mine. I live on Glen Mill Road just down from the hospital. If you like, I'd be happy to talk with you about 993s as I've been looking for one to replace our 964 for awhile.

Keith
