Rick, stop making sense. You upset the politically correct. There's nothing they hate more than someone who stands up and says "Hey, the ________ (fill in the blank) has no clothes." Be very careful. . .

BTW, didn't Ferdinand Porsche make a visit to Ford plant in the US to see how things were done? I guess that makes any Ford owner also a Holocaust accomplice, maybe even a Nazi collaborator.

IMO, what's past is past......I know about it, learned from it....but it already happened.
That's what makes it "the past". Dr. Porsche may have done some work for the jackass Nazi's, but
the bottom line is that we all have cars with his name on them. I doubt anyone here is ready to
give them up just because of his past indiscretions, whatever they were. Right?

(PS> If you have a guilty conscience about it, and want to give up your car, please let me know. I'll take it off your hands. )
(PPS > ....and give you a nice kick in the balls.

The media? I just can't watch anymore. It amazes me what they consider "news" anyway...most of it
is crap...just filling air time. I prefer to try and find different, and hopefully unbiased accounts of
events or issues and then make up my own mind. That way, I don't let them do my
thinking for me. I have my own brain....thanks.

Well, he and Lindberg had an interesting relationship with Hitler and the Nazis during the 30s.

So if you don't get your info from the media, what "independent " forms of info do you turn to?

It is interesting how many products we buy from foreign and domestic companies that either produced products for the bad guys or were sympathisers (Ford and Lindbergh). At least their contributions have been noted.

Try the Japanese approach. Their war crimes are right up there with the axis folks. The war is not in history books used in schools and the only mention of the war are Hiroshima and Nagasaki. If you go to those museums the inference is all they were doing was walking around and the Americans came over and bombed them for no reason.

Yup, we buy those products too.

It's funny you mention that. There's a guy on the Miata forum who is constantly bashing German cars (and pretty much all things German) because of the autrocities commited by Germany in WW2. Instead, he recommends people buy Japanese cars and ignores posts from anyone pointing out the irony...

Funny thing though is that Japanese tend to copy the German/ European cars. Like the Rx7 Vs the 924/944. And The Miata is a copy of the MG to some extent, or so I've been told.
