Default Anyone here good at setting tension on 944 belts?

As far as I can tell, the timing belts on my recently-purchased 951 are coming due to have the tension rechecked. Going through the data I have, it seems the belts were replaced at about 138,100 miles, and the odometer currently reads 139,500.

I did timing belts on my 924S back around ten years ago, with the help of a few FEWC friends. As I recall, we set the tension with the twist-with-fingers method. It worked! But maybe I'm not sure that's the way I want to go this time. Anyway, I don't trust my ability to set belt tension that way.

Anyone here confident in their ability to set tension? Willing to drop by my place to do it?

It looks like my radiator has a bit of a leak, so I am thinking I will swap out the radiator. When I go down that road, I figure with the fans and radiator out of the car, it will be pretty easy to expose the belts for tensioning. I can have everything ready to go for someone to come over and do the magic.

Not urgent, but I figure this is something I would like to get done by the end of February.

Will happily provide booze, food, $$$, puppies, or whatever it takes.

This is Pip, who was born last October. One of his older sisters, Mallory, gave birth to a litter of seven on January 20. Gotta pay for my hobby somehow! If you know anyone who wants a chocolate Lab puppy . . .
